Select your Cloudsweeper experience.

Cloudsweeper has different modes of operation, each with different levels of guidance, automation, and data access. At this time, all modes are read-only, and will not delete any of your resources. If you wish to delete any of your files, you’ll need to click through to the Google Drive web interface and delete them there.

Functionality Preview

If you log in without making a consent choice, the app will do two things: it will check to see if you had previously consented and restore that choice, and then it will allow you to use the basic features of the app, including requesting file sensitivity analysis from our server. No information about you or your use of the app will be stored on our server.

Self-guided file management

If you just want to explore the Cloudsweeper interface and all of its features, you can do so without any guidance or automation. The system will save anonymous usage statistics, but will only see the actions you take on this web site. If you ask Cloudsweeper to analyze your files, our server will download the content of that file, analyze it, and then discard the contents of the file. If you choose to explain your management decision for individual files, we will retain your explanation and metadata about that file so that we can improve Cloudsweeper for everyone. We will never retain the contents of any of your files, and we won’t associate the saved information (decisions, explanations, metadata) with your identity on our server.

System-guided file management

You can also participate in a guided file management experiment, where Cloudsweeper will analyze all relevant files stored in your Google Drive account, and select files for you to reevaluate and ask you to review whether you want to save or delete them. This will require our web application to download the content your files, extract and save metadata related to predicting the file’s sensitivity, and then discard the contents of the file. If you choose to explain your management decision for individual files, we will retain your explanation about that file so that we can improve Cloudsweeper for everyone. We will never retain the contents of any of your files, and we won’t associate the saved information (decisions, explanations, metadata) with your identity on our server.

Anonymous management

Finally, if you do not want to participate in helping improve Cloudsweeper, you can opt out of all data collection. This will prevent us from collecting any information about your account. In this mode, no information about your account will be sent to or stored on our servers. This means that individual file analysis will not be available, and file re-evaluation suggestions will not be available or personalized. Because we store no information about your account or your decision to remain anonymous, you must select this option every time you log in, otherwise you will be logged into the Functionality Preview mode explained above.
